Intervention in Syria

CFR’s Matthew C. Waxman highlights three sets of considerations for U.S. intervention in the country’s ongoing civil war:

1) interest in stopping atrocities [by taking military action]
2) interest in maintaining American credibility
3) important in our relations with other strategic objectives [Al-Quada, Iran]
