After “Brexit” in the United Kingdom and The National Front’s strong showing in the French national elections, obituaries were written for the European Union across the American, European, and Russian press.
In the small countries of Armenia and Georgia, if the flags flying across Yerevan, Tbilisi, and even the countrysides are any indication, the people barely noticed the great shift taking place in Western Europe.
In Armenia and Georgia there continues to be a great desire for adoption into the European Union and to be seen as “European” by neighboring countries and the world.
